# Hello, Gemini!
Hello and welcome to my Gemini capsule and its first post. I've been looking for an alternative to the big corporations for a while and stumbled upon Gemini the other week. While I'm not currently certain that this will stick, I'm going to be giving it a go for the next month or so. Eventually, this capsule will probably mirror my website.

So, introductions: I'm Louis, known in most spaces as Ludoviko or Ludo, I work in electronics and am currently studying a degree in the field. During my free time, I spend my time working on various projects and I tend to ensure that it is all open-source where possible. I'm fairly active in politics, especially locally. All views that are published on this capsule are my own and are not necessarily endorsed by and organisation that I represent.

I came by the name Ludoviko when I started learning Esperanto. Esperantistoj have a tendency of choosing a new name in Esperanto for when they are conversing with other Esperantistoj, this was the closest to my real name and it kind of stuck. At the time I was very concerned with privacy (I still am) and didn't want anyone to know my actual name. Since then I've started relaxing on that but the name is special to me so it ended up being my online "branding". To the point where one of my AFK friends actually calls it me.
